Sciatica

What Is It?
Sciatica is characterized by shooting pain that travels from the
lower back through the buttock and down one leg, following the
path of the sciatic nerve — the longest nerve in your body.

Symptoms
Sharp shooting pain down one leg, numbness, tingling, burning
sensations, or weakness in the leg or foot.

Causes & Diagnosis
Caused by compression of the sciatic nerve, often from a herniated
disc or bone spur. Diagnosed through neurological testing,
orthopedic exams, and imaging.
